Princess Mary has proven herself once again as a style icon, stepping out in a glamorous red frock for a Danish celebration with husband Prince Frederik.
The Aussie-born royal looked stunning in the dress which clinched in at the waist to show off her beautiful figure at the event in Vordingborg.
Standing tall in red heels the mother-of-four exuded confidence and grace, the dress floating elegantly past her knees as she walked through the streets of the Danish town.
Mary matched the gorgeous outfit perfectly with a beige flower head piece and clutch, while she styled her hair in an elegant low bun.
Meanwhile, her beloved husband looked dapped in a navy suit, white shirt and bold red tie to complement his wife’s stunning outfit.
The pair celebrated their beautiful country at the 800 year anniversary of the Danish flag with the event in Vordingborg.
The country has a long held belief that the flag fell from the sky during the battle between the Danish king Valdemar and Estonian tribes on June 15, 1219. It marked success for the Danish troops who went on to vanquish their defenders.
“In the old royal town of Vordingborg, Dannebrog was first hoisted in 1219, when the Danish king Valdemar Sejr returned from the recent victory in Estonia and raised the symbol of victory – namely Dannebrog,” the Danish royal family explained in a post on Instagram.
As part of the celebrations Mary and Frederik witnessed the flag being hoisted once again before participating in the city’s festivities.
It has been a busy week for the royal family who sported their best activewear as they took part in a special fun run together.
Princess Mary, Prince Frederik and their children laced up their shoes for the event in the city of Aalborg in a bid to connect with the people of Denmark.

“I am on my way to Aalborg where I have asked myself the challenge of running two races,” Mary explained alongside a snap of herself.

“Among other things, I have to run with a group of Christmas brand children who have trained up to today for months.”
She added: “It’s cool that, like many other runners today, they have taken up the challenge! Last year it was very special to feel the sense of community that was around Royal Run. I’m looking forward to seeing you again.”
