Princess Mary was the picture of ladylike elegance during her visit to Poland with husband Prince Frederik on Monday, sporting two beautiful ensembles while out on royal duties.

The mother-of-four proved that simple, classic styles are still a winner when she stepped out in a burgundy velvet dress for a concert in Warsaw at the Danish Cultural Institute. She paired the ballerina-style frock with studded black heels and some sparkly earrings.

With her brunette locks falling just over her shoulder, Princess Mary looked pretty and far younger than her 47 years. Frederik looked equally as stylish for the night out, wearing a navy suit and a burgandy tie to match his wife’s outfit.

The couple spent the evening listening to Polish children perform Danish songs, as well as a performance by talented 15-year-old Polish violinist Antoni Figurski who played the song ‘Tango Jealously’.

Earlier in the day, the Danish royal couple met with Polish President Andrzej Duda and first lady Agata Kornhauser-Duda for the 100th anniversary of the re-establishment of diplomatic relations between Denmark and Poland.

For the daytime event, Mary sported a loose-fitting powder-blue trench coat over a knee-length skirt in the same colour and a patterned, silky blouse. She wore nude heels for the outing and carried a nude clutch.

After being honoured at a luncheon at the Presidential Palace in Warsaw, Frederik visited the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, a monument where a perpetual flame burns in memory of those who lost their lives in th war. Following this he visited the Warsaw University.

The couple have spent the past few days in Poland as part of an official visit to the country to commemorate the centenary of the resumption of diplomatic relations between Denmark and Poland following the war.

Their visit to the country comes days after Mary represented the Danish royal family at a health conference in Denmark. The 47-year-old was absolutely glowing in a tailored pinstripe jacket and matching pants for the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Conference Health, sporting a huge smile on her face as she entered the Langelinie Pavilion in Copenhagen.

Looking confident and classy, the Australian-born princess highlighted her enviable figure with a thick black belt around her waist.
