They both have stunning and completely different wardrobes, but Princess Mary mirrored the Duchess of Sussex’s style perfectly on her latest royal outing.

The Danish royal, 47, looked stunning in a stylish black power suit as she attended the Danish Science Festival in Klampenborg this week.

With flared trousers and a plunging blazer which was clinched in at the waist with a black bow, the outfit made a bold statement as she coupled it with high heels and wore her hair loose and wavy over her shoulders.

Mary was attending the festival without her husband on this occasion, as he remains busy with his own royal schedule of events following the Easter celebrations.

According to the Danish royals’ official Instagram page: “The festival is comprised of approximately 700 different events that will attract around 75,000 visitors.

“The Danish Science Festival aims to establish a meeting point between researchers and the public, and to show how research and innovation contribute to solving social challenges and issues.”

Mary’s choice strongly resembles Meghan’s signature style before her pregnancy and is particularly similar to an outfit the duchess wore at the Coach Core Awards at Loughborough University in September last year.

On that occasion she chose an Oscar de la Renta navy top with a ruffled front and a thin belt, over some black flared trousers very similar to Princess Mary’s.

And it’s not the first time Meghan’s chosen flared trousers or a power suit. In fact the duchess has been praised for bringing a modern twist to more traditional royal outfits on some of her engagements since marrying Prince Harry.

She chose a stunning black suit just weeks earlier in September last year as she met young winners of the 2018 WellChild Awards with Harry.

Meghan looked sensational in the suit, designed by New York brand Altuzarra, with slim fitting trousers which showed off her elegant frame.

She teamed the pant and blazer combo with a stunning black satin blouse and a pair of black stiletto heeled court shoes.

The couple are now awaiting the arrival of their first baby together, with Meghan taking the last few weeks as private time away from the spotlight.
