Princess Anne delighted racegoers at Ascot on Thursday as she once again transformed in a very elegant outfit, matching her niece Princess Eugenie in green on Ladies Day.
The Queen’s daughter, 68, looked beautiful in a long pale green coat to keep her warm in the cool England weather, which was worn over the top of a dark green frock.
She complemented this with a wide brim hat of the same colour, as is essential for Ladies Day, while the royal stood tall in a pair of simple cream heels.
Adding a pop of colour to her outfit, Anne opted for a bright red lip and accessorised with a gold necklace and beautiful pearl earrings.
Meanwhile, Eugenie chose a darker green frock for the event which tucked in at the waist with a large bow to highlight her gorgeous figure.
The daughter of Prince Andrew, 29, teamed this with a creative patterned green and gold hat which sat to the side, while her brunette locks were styled in soft waves.
Following in her aunt’s footsteps, the young royal navigated her way across the grass in a pair of nude heels, while she brightened her look with a pale pink lip.
For some, day three of Royal Ascot is considered a highlight, with all female spectators required to wear a hat of some sort. While Anne and Eugenie followed a more traditional path with their outfit choices, the Countess of Wessex looked like she had stepped back to the 1970s, wearing a gorgeous navy blue jumpsuit.
Sophie Wessex looked the epitome of chic in the full-length number for the racing festival, which is one of the UK’s most prestigious horse racing events and beloved by Her Majesty the Queen.

The royal’s stunning outfit featured wide-flared trousers with front pleats, reminiscent of the 1970s, and a buckled belt around her waist which provided a flattering silhouette.
The mother-of-two teamed the classy one-piece with a pair of towering stiletto heels, just visible beneath her flowing trouser legs, a small navy clutch bag and a matching hat which featured a delicate netted veil.
