Glenn Close proved that age is just a number as she dared to rock a racy pair of black leather trousers for her most recent TV appearance, as she continues to promote her new movie The Wife.
The 71-year-old actress slipped into the raunchy straight-leg bottoms as she sat down for a chat with US chat show host Seth Meyers on his show Late Night on Monday evening.
Known for her bold fashion choices, Close paired the leather pants with a bold red and white striped double-breasted blazer, which featured six large black buttons down the front.
The six-time Oscar nominee upped the sex factor with a pair of black stiletto heels and opted to keep her cleavage under wraps by slipping on a simple white vest under the statement jacket. She completed the sophisticated yet sexy look by curling her cropped blonde locks to one side, and kept her make up simple with a subtle smoky eye and light coating of lipgloss.
The Fatal Attraction star hasn’t put a foot wrong when it comes to fashion lately as she wowed in a hot pink 1980s power suit last week, as she posed on the red carpet at the premiere for her latest movie in London on Thursday.
Joined by her on-screen husband Jonathan Pryce, 71, Glenn stunned in the standout power suit, showing off her quirky style in the fitted blazer which featured an asymmetrical hemline. She completed the look with matching suit trousers and a black lace top.
Close stars in the upcoming movie alongside her real-life daughter Annie Starke. She plays the leading female role of Joan, a woman who has sacrificed everything for her husband and his career until he is about to be awarded the Nobel Prize for his acclaimed and prolific body of work, while Starke takes on the role of a younger Joan, in flashback scenes.
Speaking on Today recently, the 71-year-old revealed what it was really like to share the spotlight with her daughter in the film that has already created Oscar buzz.
“I got out of town when she was filming all of that…she’s naturally talented, it is between her and the director…you don’t want your mum around for that,” she said.
