Green with envy! Helen Mirren shows off incredible style in bold emerald frock

Dame Helen Mirren rarely puts a foot wrong when it comes to red carpet fashion, and the Oscar-winning actress got it right once again as she stepped out in green on Tuesday evening.

The 73-year-old Hollywood star looked incredible in the structured frock which featured a statement collar and a floral design, no doubt catching everyone’s eye thanks to its bold emerald colour.

The Queen star matched her accessories to the coat-style dress, which nipped her in at the waist before falling to her knees in an A-line skirt, opting for a pair of suede kitten heel shoes in the same hue. While she added a touch of glamour to the look with a dazzling selection of emerald and diamond rings and a glamorous pair of statement dangling earrings.

Her statement cropped hair was back to its signature blonde tone, just weeks after Mirren debuted candy pink hair on the Cannes red carpet, and she kept her make-up to a minimum with neutral eyeshadow and a soft pink lip.

Helen stepped out to attend the relaunch of the Reinvented and Re-imagined Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, in London, on Tuesday, alongside other showbiz faces, including her ex-boyfriend Liam Neeson, who looked dapper in a grey suit and navy shirt.

She was also seen chatting to Mary McCartney, who is the daughter of Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney.

Mirren’s public outing comes one month after she stepped out in the South of France at the Cannes Film Festival, debuting a number of incredible looks during the prestigious annual event.

Perhaps her most talked about look was the pink hairstyle she sported at the premiere of French movie Les Plus Belles Annees D’Une Vie (The Best Years of a Life), which perfectly complimented her couture Elie Saab gown.

It wasn’t the first time that Helen has experimented with colourful hair though, as she previously tried out the blush colour back in 2013, admitting at the time that she was inspired to do so after watching US TV show America’s Next Top Model.

According to The Mirror, at the time she said: “I’d been watching America’s Top Model which I’m obsessed by.

“This girl had her pink hair and I noticed because it came out really quickly so there she is with really pink hair and then five days later it’s all gone so I thought that would be cool, I might have a go at that.”
