The Project host has not held back when detailing the tricky moments involved in raising a child, especially with other children to look after.

“2 months old,” Carrie announced on Instagram along with a beautiful photo of her baby girl.

“I think it’s fair to say the past 9 weeks have been some of the trickiest of our parenting life. Reflux, feeding challenges, little people dealing with the new world order, school holidays, did I mention school holidays, sleep deprivation, the list goes on but we are getting there.”

The journalist went on to say how grateful she is for her beloved family who have supported her through the tough couple of months, noting it doesn’t get easier the third time around. She also praised other parents going through the journey and encouraged them too to make the most of the beautiful moments.

“Dad’s been amazing, kids have been incredible, and mum’s been a bloody rockstar,” she wrote. “Who said the third child was easiest!

“Thankyou to all the people who reached out on insta [sic] and reminded me to stop and sniff her little head, stare into her eyes, cuddle her and enjoy the middle of the night feeds because it goes so fast. It really does.

“If you are in the middle of it all yourself, you are not alone.”

The post has since received much support from fans and fellow parents who understood the struggle faced when welcoming a new child to the world. While some praised the mother for her strength others shared their own stories as a mother.

“She looks pretty happy with herself here. You must be doing something very right,” one person commented.

Another claimed she too is facing a tough time with a newborn writing: “I’m struggling with my fourth baby, co-sleeping just to survive and handing her over to her older siblings just to get dinner cooked haha. But I wouldn’t change it for the wrote, we adore her. She is 9 months young now. Hang in there mumma”.

While a third commended Carrie for her honest post. “I’m due next week so love reading your honest update. I’m the youngest of 3 girls and my mum always says: ‘ohhh love by the time you get to the 3rd one, you just drag them up’,” the expectant mother wrote.

Newborn Adelaide is a little sister to ten-year-old Oliver and Evie, three.
