Jessica Galley knows how to get the big news to you at high speed! Jessica honed her skills in reporting breaking news at one of Britain’s national press agencies, where she sourced and wrote the hottest current affairs, most shocking crime and heart-breaking human interest stories of the day – and fast!
Jessica’s work has been printed in every major British newspaper, from The Daily Telegraph to The Sun, along with popular women’s magazines and even on TV. Jessica, who has a Bachelor of Journalism from Liverpool John Moores University, as well as a diploma from Britain’s National Council for the Training of Journalists, also worked as a news editor at The Sunday Sport, one of the UK’s best-known (and raciest) weekend tabloids, where she learned how to write a cheeky headline or two.
Since making the move Down Under almost two years ago, Jessica has been focused on writing everything at Starts at 60 from finance to politics, using the skills she honed in the ultra-competitive British press to score plenty of exclusive political insights just for our readers. With Rebecca Pocklington, Jessica is joint chief of staff, with responsibility for everything that requires military-like precision in planning, rostering and organising. Yes, she’s a lady that loves a list!
When not tuning into Question Time, Jessica (with Rebecca P) likes to deplete Starts at 60 HQ’s stock of biccies and Yorkshire Tea.
