Prince Charles hosts celebrities at glittering London party

British star Damian Lewis must be some joker, because he had Prince Charles laughing at a glamorous party at London’s Savoy Hotel.

The prince, who is president of the The Prince’s Trust, mingled with celebrities at the trust’s  annual Invest in Futures reception, enjoying a joke with Lewis.

Lewis’s wife, actress Helen McCrory, pictured above in red, hosted the evening as the glam gathering, which included financial bigwigs as well as stars of the stage and screen, dined and danced.

The evening featured performances from pop singer Pixie Lott, second from left below with her sister Charlie-Ann second from right, and jazz maestro Jamie Cullum.

Other celebrities in attendance included actress Joely Richardson, actor Jeremy Iron and the legendary Joan Collins.

Brit star Felicity Kendall helped the occasion shine.

The dinner and auction raised $2.1 million to help the trust work with disadvantaged young people going into work or training.
