Terri Irwin pokes fun at rumours about her

There’s been a lot of rumours going around about a ‘relationship’ between Terri Irwin, the wife of the late Steve Irwin, and Aussie actor Russell Crowe.

And while there’s been no evidence of it, except for photos of the two attending events together, a lot of people have been convinced something was going on.

But after her daughter Bindi Irwin came out and dismissed the rumours this week, Terri herself has also spoken out.

Appearing on the US TV show, Access Hollywood, alongside Bindi, Terri laughed off the rumours.

It turns out, Crowe has been a long time good friend of the Irwin family.

“He is very lucky to be embroiled in all of these great rumours,” Terri joked.

“We are friends, so he did contact me and ask me if there was something I should let him know.

“In all honesty, he and Steve became friends many years ago, and after Steve passed, you find out who your true friends are. And Russell has been very loyal as a great friend.”

Crowe himself has rubbished the rumours on social media in the past.

Earlier this week Bindi told Us Weekly that her mum was “very much still married” to her late father.

“Russell is lovely. He was a dear friend of my dad’s and he’s now a dear friend of our family.” she said.

At least Terri has a sense of humour about it all!
