The Australian entertainment world is shaken as one of the most beloved satirists John Clarke has passed away.
The ABC have confirmed that he died of natural causes while hiking in the Grampians National Park in Victoria.
Clarke will be best remembered for the hugely popular Clarke and Dawe segments that appeared on ABC TV and the pair have been making for 27 years.

A large presence in Australian comedy, Clarke also appeared on Kath & Kim and The Lano & Woodly Show. He was also a novelist and screenwriter.
John Clarke also co-wrote one of Paul Cox's best films, 1982's Lonely Hearts, and the popular The Man Who Sued God. Vale.

Our condolences to the friends and family of this one of a kind Australian funnyman.
This was the latest, and sadly the last, Clarke and Dawe.
