The country star also won male video, collaborative video and social superstar of the year at the Music City Centre in Nashville, Tennessee.

He also had a special message for his wife: “I want to say a massive thank you to my wife Nicole. You have no idea how much of what I do … she’s involved in every little piece of it.”

Urban performed his disco-flavoured hit The Fighter with Carrie Underwood who continued to dominate as the most awarded act in the history of the CMT Awards with 17 wins.

And while Urban enjoyed his time in the sun, all eyes were still on Nicole and her little black dress. 

The A-list actress has currently been enjoying a string of fashion hits – and the LBD she wore to support her husband had tongues wagging. 

Featuring a plunging neckline, the semi-sheer black lace dress was Kidman’s third successful red carpet hat-trick in as many days.
