Happy 50th, Nicole! You’re looking gorgeous

The star looks decades younger than her real age.

Nicole Kidman may have just turned 50 but you’d never tell by looking at her.

Middle aged my eye!

The age-defying mother-of-four has been enjoying quite the career “comeback” lately, making this milestone birthday most likely an extra special one.

Kidman already lives what appears to be a blissful personal life with husband Keith Urban and their two children Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret and seems to remain close with her adopted children Conner and Isabella Cruise whom she shares with former husband Tom Cruise.

But it was her recent turn as a battered house wife in HBO’s Big Little Lies that has seen Kidman’s star catapult to the top, once again.

One of the most-talked about shows of the year, the A-list cable drama is already rumoured to be returning for a highly anticipated second season.

She also won back her title as the undisputed “Queen of Cannes” after starring in four projects showing at the festival this year with some even calling her current turn in the spotlight “The Nic-aissance”.

Kidman made her acting debut in 1983’s A Bush Christmas at the tender age of 15.

She went on to star in Aussie classic BMX Bandits and Bangkok Hilton but it was when she was cast opposite future husband Tom Cruise in 1990s Days of Thunder that a Hollywood star was born.

While it’s taken sometime for Kidman to claw her way back to the top, she’s always kept it interesting by taking on challenging roles that forced her to step way outside of her comfort zone: singing in Moulin Rouge, taking on a South African accent in The Interpreter — even donning a prosthetic nose in The Hours — of course, that nose won her an Oscar.

And while Kidman’s current popularity should call for a ridiculous over-the-top celeb filled bash, our Nic has said she’d rather keep things quiet.

“I don’t need any big parties; I just need my family around me. If I have my family around me I am happy.”

What advice would you give to Nicole now that she’s 50?
