Us President Donald Trump has a shaky relationship with the media. Media outlets that publish items critical of his Administration are called “fake news”, while right-leaning media gets more access to the President.
The President gave CBS This Morning journalist John Dickerson access to discuss a number of key issues while they walked around the White House. Once in the Oval Office, the demeanour changed for both men. Dickerson asked President Trump if he stood by the claims that former US President Barrack Obama had Trumps phones wiretapped.
The President quickly shot back, “I don’t stand by anything”.
Dickerson pressed the issue adding, “You’re the President of the United States. You said that [Mr Obama] was ‘sick’ and ‘bad’ because he had tapped you.”
He was referring to this tweet that the President posted on 4 March 2017:
How low has President Obama gone to tapp my phones during the very sacred election process. This is Nixon/Watergate. Bad (or sick) guy!

Trump simply told Dickerson, “You can take it any way you want”.
Continuing on the topic, Dickerson said, “But I’m asking you because you don’t want it to be fake news; I want to hear it from President Trump”.
Trump responded, “You don’t have to ask me because I have my own opinions, you can have your own opinions”.
Dickerson tried to continue the line of questioning but Trump had enough saying, “That’s enough. Thank you,” before waving the reporter away and sitting down at his desk.
