Slow cooker chicken drumsticks

Sticky, delicious chicken drumsticks!

If you’re looking for a super easy and super tasty meal this week, you’ve found a winner! These drumsticks are so easy to make and the flavour they create is phenomenal. Everything is just thrown into the slow cooker and left to cook over a low heat for eight hours until the meat is juicy and tender and the skin is sticky and delicious! You can serve it up with steamed rice and some mixed greens for a an easy and satisfying feed. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 kg chicken drumsticks, skin removed
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 4 tablespoons dark brown soft sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 600g jar passata

Method

1. Place drumsticks and onion in a slow cooker. In a medium bowl, stir together soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic and passata. Pour sauce over chicken.

2. Cover, and cook on low heat 8 hours.
