Feeling like some fish but don’t want to spend a fortune or spend hours slaving away in the kitchen?

This is an easy solution and a tasty one at that! You only need four ingredients to make this delicious dish.


  • 500g fish of your choice (cod, perch, brim, barramundi)
  • 14cup butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 14cup flour
  • pinch of white pepper, salt and paprika


  1. If fish fillets are large, cut into serving pieces.
  2. Mix butter and lemon juice.
  3. In another bowl, mix flour, salt and white pepper.
  4. Dip fish into butter mixture then coat with flour mixture.
  5. Place fish in ungreased square baking dish
  6. Pour remaining butter mixture over fish then sprinkle with paprika.
  7. Cook uncovered in 180 degree oven until fish flakes easily with fork, which should be about 25-30 minutes. Done!

  2. This is one of my favourite ways of cooking fish, another would be similar ingredients then wrapped in foil and cook on the BBQ!

  3. Krummies egg butter frypan ..I coat fish in egg then Krummies melt little butter ( about teaspoon in fry pan) add fish ..only need about 5 mins or less depending on thickness on each side. Can use half butter and half olive oil.
