The allegations against him were shocking, but the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services has cleared Brad Pitt of abuse towards his children.

According to TMZ, the DCFS will close the investigation involving an incident in September between Pitt and his son Maddox on a private jet. It revealed the DCFS found Pitt did not commit child abuse during the argument that ended in physical abuse.

Pitt had been under intense investigation for the incident after it was suggested he was verbally and physically abusive towards his children, which is what led to the divorce between him and his wife, Angelina Jolie.

In September it was reported that during the flight Pitt “went wild, screaming and getting physical with the kids” and that witnesses told of how Pitt’s antics continued on the tarmac.

Both Pitt and Jolie were interviewed by social workers, as well as their children and the witnesses of the incident.

However, it has been revealed that no further action will be taken against the star.

Jolie had claimed that Pitt intentionally and without justification struck Maddox. It was reported that Jolie also claimed there was a “pattern of misconduct” on Pitt’s part.

Having been cleared on the abuse allegations gives Pitt somewhat of an advantage in the custody case being battled out by the actors. Jolie has requested sole custody of the children, while Pitt wants joint custody.

    • That’s what is wrong with kids today. Tough love works.

  2. So agree! I am now reaching 70 (years young lol!) and have two terrific kids who are polite, respectful, kind, loving adults with children of their own! Did I yell and smack them on the bottom when they needed it??? Yes indeed I did… Out shopping, at home … Wherever bad behaviour, rudeness etc raised its ugly head! The rule of 3 was paramount. (By the time I counted to three they had better pulled themselves up or smacked bums! Which I might add was always through two or three layers of clothes… More an insult to their perceived dignity than anything else!). I watch young kids today get away with bad mouthing their mums, no manners, etc etc and this is because parents are AFRAID to chastise their kids in case some twits might dob them in to Docs or whoever! A healthy bit of respect towards mum and dad goes a long way but letting them turn into spoilt self centred little brats just makes for awful uncaring self serving adults! I was smacked as a child and always knew that I had deserved it… Grew up loving my parents as my children have brown up loving me! We all turned out normal!

  3. My children were brought up knowing that for every action there is a reaction. Although I wouldn’t class myself as a screamer, they were always warned about their behaviour. As a result of this, I can count on one hand the times they were slapped and then only with the palm of my hand. They were told that if they wanted to embarrass me by their behaviour, I would severely embarrass them in return.

  4. Too many women accuse men of child abuse to get their own selfish way!

It is time the women were charged with false accusations and do the time in gaol that the men would have got, had the accusations been true!
