Coleman urges campers to return their products over risk of fire hazard

Camping enthusiasts, please be alert – Coleman is urging you to return theColeman CTAC Lithium-Ion Flashlights – CTAC40 / Model 2000013873; and CTAC60 / Model 2000013872 for a full refund over a fire hazard.

If you have purchased these products, you are advised to stop using the products, dispose of the battery at a recycling centre and return the flashlight to Coleman Brands for a full refund.

The problem is in the the flashlights’ rechargeable lithium-ion batteries which can overheat and when the lithium-ion batteries overheat and discharge their contents, there is a risk of fire.

If you know anyone who regularly goes camping or caravanning, please also alert them as this stove is a common camping favourite and can cause them harm.

The flashlights are black, contain the word “Coleman” in white along the handle and have the model number in white print on the upper portion of the handle next to the light. The lithium-ion batteries inside the flashlights are red with the Coleman logo in white.
