As you would have read here at Starts at 60, the new Mary Poppins film is on its way.
Mary Poppins Returns is set 20 years after the first film, and features a new generation of Banks children.
The movie is based on The Mary Poppins Stories by Travers and it’s being reported that a new score and new songs are being written for the film.
The cast already has many of us super excited including Dick van Dyke, Angela Lansbury and Meryl Streep – but it’s the new Mary Poppins that has everyone talking at the moment.
Photos have emerged of actress Emily Blunt as Mary Poppins and it looks like she’s had a little makeover.
While there are similarities to the original Mary Poppins, portrayed by Julie Andrews, there are certainly some differences.
It looks like the old carpet bag has definitely had a makeover!
But can the new film compare to the original?
Only time will tell, but there’s one thing to remember – the new film is a sequel, not a remake!
Mary Poppins Returns will be released on Christmas Day next year and in the meantime, Poppins fans will be kept waiting and guessing until then!
