It’s not every day your husband buys you a multi-million dollar Manhattan penthouse, and if you’re Nicole Kidman, it’s not any day!
Keith Urban took to Twitter on Sunday to slam reports by gossip magazine Woman’s Day that he had purchased a lavish New York home for his wife so she could further her Broadway career.
“Not sure of how these ridiculous rumors start, but I’m hearing that I bought an apartment for Nic in NYC? TOTAL BS. Where does this stuff come from?!!!” he wrote.

Woman’s Day claimed Urban had spent US$39 million on an Upper East Side townhouse for his wife and even shared pictures of the home, saying it once belonged to Michael Jackson.
“Nicole is keen to do Broadway shows and get into making TV programs and New York is a much better place for them to be than Nashville,” the magazine claimed a source told them.
While it’s clear the couple aren’t planning a move to the East Coast anytime soon, they are selling their 36-acre home in Franklin, Tennessee.
Variety reports the couple have put their home on the market for $3.45 million after purchasing it for $2.45 million in 2007.
Their home is currently listed on a Nashville real estate website.
The rustic-luxury property is just 25 minutes drive from Nashville, where Urban spends much of his time for work, and boasts four bedrooms, five bathrooms and a separate cottage for guests, a caretaker or live-in domestic staff.
Gorgeous photos shown on their real estate agent’s website, seen here, show the sprawling property surrounded by plenty of greenery for privacy.
The couple are yet to say where they’re moving to, but we’re sure Woman’s Day will let us know soon!
