Michael Jackson’s son’s artistic tribute to his father

It’s become commonplace these days for people to get tattoos when their loved ones pass away.

Whether it’s a simple tattoo of someone’s name or a tattoo of their face, having a permanent tribute to a loved on etched in your skin is becoming the norm.

So it’s only to be expected that at least one of Michael Jackson’s children would get a tattoo in his honour.

Prince Jackson, the King of Pop’s eldest child, has shown off a tattoo he had done as a tribute to his father – and it’s a work of art.

The tattoo of Michael Jackson with his arms outstretched as wings is on Prince Jackson’s leg and took an incredible nine hours to complete!

It looks so realistic!

Showing off the tattoo in a video on Instagram, Prince Jackson thanked the tattooist for sitting with him through it.

“Thanks @dermagraphink for sittin 9hrs with me for such an incredible and beautiful tattoo. I will be posting more of this.” he wrote.

The King of Pop’s children have been making more and more media appearances of late, as they prepare to mark the eight anniversary of their father’s death.

You might remember last month Prince Jackson appeared on Good Morning America, sharing some of the advice his father gave him.

“As we were growing up my dad always said, ‘I really don’t care what you do in life, as long as you’re happy doing it and you’re the best at what you do. If you want to be a janitor at a high school, you should be the best janitor that you can be,” he said.

“So, I think that he would always be the supporting figure to me and my siblings and support us in all the endeavours that we try.”

Michael Jackson would certainly be proud!
