She’s been out of the limelight for a few years now, but Meg Ryan has made her red carpet comeback and blown the crowd away with her elegant style.
The actress posed for photographers at the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) Awards in New York overnight in a sparkly white dress and simple diamond accessories.
While the awards night is usually focussed on the world’s biggest designers and models, Ryan was the talk of the night.
Her gorgeous gown by designer Christian Siriano, who was also her date for the evening, featured simple spaghetti straps and a plunging v-neck.
Ryan has mostly stayed out of the public eye over the past few years and hasn’t been seen on screen since her 2015 movie Ithaca, which featured her long-time co-star Tom Hanks.
Hanks and Ryan have starred in a string of hits together, with films such as You’ve Got Mail and Sleepless in Seattle propelling them to legendary status in the romantic-comedy genre.
Last year, Ryan sparked plenty of debate on social media after appearing at the Tony Awards with a noticeably puffy face.
There were nasty comments flying around the internet with many accusing the actress of plastic surgery.
Others though, jumped to her defence pointing out it was her business to do whatever she wanted to with her face.
