Iconic musician Chuck Berry has died aged 90.
Police say he was found unresponsive after they attended a medical emergency on Saturday in St. Charles County, Missouri.
Sadly, he could not be revived.
Berry, born Charles Edward Anderson Berry, found famed in the 50s for his effortless style on the guitar and had a string of hits, including ‘Roll Over Beethoven’ and ‘Johnny B Goode’.
He won multiple Grammy awards throughout his career helped take rock and roll mainstream, inspiring countless artists and bands over the next few decades of his life.
John Lennon once said of Berry: “If you had to give Rock and Roll another name, you might call it Chuck Berry”.
