Joanna Lumley’s hilarious take on death and organ donation

Absolutely Fabulous actress Joanna Lumley has made some hilarious comments about death in a recent interview.

As we get older, it’s not uncommon for us to think about death.

Just ask Joanna Lumley.

The legendary Absolutely Fabulous actress has admitted she thinks about death ‘every day’ following her 71st birthday last week.

But luckily she has a hilarious take on death and all the questions that come with it such as organ donation and whether she’ll be cremated or buried when she dies.

In an interview with the Radio Times, Lumley had the perfect response when asked if she would like to be cremated or buried.

“I’ve got one of those donor forms that says ‘Take anything you want,’ so I’m not sure what they do with you,” the Mirror reports she said.

“I hope they bundle you out to feed you to the foxes – after they’ve plundered all the nice bits you’ve got left, if there are any nice bits after I’ve drained so much champagne.”

Although she talked about death in the interview, Lumley isn’t slowing down anytime soon.

Recently she was awarded the prestigious British Academy of Film and Television Arts (Bafta) Fellowship prize.

Of course you would best remember Lumley as the hilarious Patsy Stone in Absolutely Fabulous, and she’s reflected on her time working with co-star Jennifer Saunders.

“We used to cry with laughter and it was just paradise,” she told the Radio Times.

“I absolutely adored playing Patsy. It was like being given a glass of champagne quite out of the blue and you go ‘Oh, my heavens!’.”

How could you not loved Joanna Lumley?!

Are you a fan? Did her comments about death give you a giggle?
