Erin Moran, Joanie from ‘Happy Days’, has passed away aged 56

Sad news coming from Hollywood today as Erin Moran the beloved actress that played Joanie Cunningham on the hit series Happy Days has passed away.

Celebrity news site TMZ had reported that Moran was found unresponsive by authorities in Indian and at this time no cause of death is known.

Moran played Joanie for 11 seasons of Happy Days and two seasons of the spinoff Joanie Loves Chachi.

Henry Winkler, who played the pop icon Fonzi, posted to the social media site Twitter saying “OH Erin… now you will finally have the peace you wanted so badly here on earth …Rest In It serenely now.. too soon”.

Fellow child television star Erin Murphy who played Tabetha on Bewitched was a close friend of Moran and offered these words “So sad to share that my friend Erin Moran has passed away. Rest In Peace, sweet girl.”
