Celine Dion fans were treated to an exclusive look behind the scenes at the moment she met the “amazing” John Farnham, having previously declared her adoration for the Aussie singer.

On Sunday night’s episode of Channel Ten’s The Project, viewers were shown unseen footage of the moment the 50-year-old Canadian singer was introduced to the “one and only” John.

Meeting Celine for the first time, John said: “I don’t know what to say, thank you. To be told that Im a good singer by one of the best singers in the world.”

To which the ‘My Heart Will Go On’ singer replied: “You’re not a good singer, you are the voice. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving me the privilege, the unique chance to sing with you.”

The talented pair then burst into an impromptu rendition of John’s legendary track, as they prepared to take to the stage together, before thanking The Project presenter Lisa Wilkinson for making the duet happen.

Celine sent fans into a frenzy earlier this week when she surprised the crowd at her concert in Melbourne by bringing Aussie legend John Farnham on stage, before the pair belted out a duet of iconic track ‘You’re The Voice’.

Writing on Instagram after the performance, she said: “I’ve wanted to sing John Farnham’s ‘You’re the Voice’ on my tours for so many years, and it’s been so great to finally do it on this tour. But I still can’t believe that I got to perform it with the one-and-only, John Farnham!

“I will never forget this, the thrill of a lifetime. John, thank you for your incredible talent, you’re amazing. I love you! Thank you, Melbourne!”

She also posted a throwback to a previous interview with Celine earlier on Sunday, flashing back to when the superstar announced her Australian tour and admitted she’s a fan of Farnham.

Celine is now touring New Zealand, where she wowed fans on Friday as she took to the stage in a floor-length white and pink dress with a flowing pink cape billowing down the front.
