Bette Midler wows in vibrant-coloured headscarf

The singing sensation looked marvellous on her night out.

Hollywood legend Bette Midler has put on a stunning display at the Outer Critics Circle Awards in New York, sporting an elaborate and brightly coloured headscarf for the evening.

The patterned scarf was wrapped around her hair and finished in a knot at the top, similar to the classic bandana hair styles of the 1950s.

She paired the headpiece with bright blue glasses and a ruffled black dress.

At 71, Bette isn’t letting age get in the way of style and has never swayed from her unique style over the years.

She was awarded Outstanding Actress In A Musical for her Broadway revival of Hello, Dolly! and appeared thrilled as she gave her acceptance speech on stage.

Last month, she made headlines after Tweeting a joke about US president Donald Trump’s daughter following the announcement she would become a “special advisor” to the administration.

There was concern the First Daughter’s jewellery and clothing business could become a conflict of interest for her and Bette couldn’t help but take a swipe.

She’s made secret of her dislike of the Trump family and has had run-ins with the president in the past.

In 2014, he tweeted that she sucked after singing ‘Wind Beneath Wings’ at the Oscars.

It hasn’t stopped her hitting out at him throughout his presidency though and her social media pages are riddled with jokes at his expense.

Are you a fan of this look? Would you wear something like this?
