These group tours are a great way to explore new places whilst enjoying good company.

There’s nothing quite like travelling the world, seeing new places, eating new foods, experiencing new cultures and meeting new people. But what’s even better is sharing those experiences with like-minded people.

Each year Travel at 60 creates special trips for the over-60s community across the country. Designed for solo travellers who may be seeking new company, or for a group of friends, these group tours are a great way to explore new places whilst enjoying good company.

From sunny Queensland escapes to exploring the beauty of Kangaroo Island off the coast of South Australia, there are group tours planned throughout the year, with some special-themed ones too!

Departing in January 2023

Start 2023 off with a boogie at the annual Elvis Festival – to celebrate the King of Rock. Enjoy this four-night Sydney roundtrip with other like-minded Elvis fans, make new friends and experience this fantastic holiday together. 

The five-day festival schedule is jam-packed with activities, such as Elvis look-a-like competitions, the well-known Street Parade, exhibits of Elvis memorabilia, an absolutely fantastic Gospel Service (where you’ll get priority seating), vintage vehicles, and much more. The Parkes Township is like stepping back in time to the 1950s, complete with muscle cars, Elvis impersonators, and Priscilla lookalikes.

Departing in February 2023

February is a warm month where the weather stays sunny most of the day and is the perfect opportunity to witness some fantastic Australian wildlife come to life. 

It is especially the best month to visit Bundaberg on our Tilt Train and Turtles Getaway to witness the turtle eggs hatching and the baby turtles making their way to the water. 

In February you can also join other over-60 travellers for five days of beautiful national parks, historic towns and great company in Gladstone! This getaway is jam-packed with value, with comfortable central accommodation, a generous itinerary of experiences and most meals included. 

Your Gladstone host will be Darryl, a native of the area for 40 years (and the 2020 recipient of “Citizen of the Year”), who has a wealth of knowledge about the area and a tonne of fun stories to tell. He’ll bring the past to life and show you some amazing hidden gems that only the locals know about.

Departing in March 2023

If you’ve got a bit of a green thumb and appreciate the beauty of flowers then you won’t want to miss this. Explore the Melbourne Flower Show and iconic gardens in 2023 on a four-day package with other like-minded garden lovers! This package includes a day at the Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show, along with trips to Melbourne’s Botanic Gardens and Werribee Park Mansion & State Rose Garden.

Departing in April 2023

Join a group of like-minded travellers for effortless fun on one of Travel at 60’s most popular packages, a Capricorn Coastal Escape. With travel dates available between April to June, you’ll be in for six days of effortless fun. This special Travel at 60 package includes a round-trip Tilt Train ride from Brisbane to Rockhampton, Island View lodging in Yeppoon with a private balcony, most meals, and daily sightseeing.

April is also a good time to head out west and explore Queensland’s Outback. With more pleasant temperatures during this time of the year, explore the towns of Longreach and Winton by tour, stagecoach, Paddlewheeler and train. Discover the pioneering spirit, the people and the places of the Longreach region and immerse yourself in unique experiences. 

Departing in May 2023

Spend eight nights on a paddlewheeler touring the Mighty Murray River and experience the wonders from Mannum to Morgan.
