
It hasn’t been a great few weeks for those in charge of airplane design, as yet another airline has found itself as the butt of a fairly rude joke.
British-run airline, Thomas Cook, failed to catch a major design flaw in its new branding on the side of its commercial plane.
A massive sign reading “I heart Cook’s Club” was plastered across the new aircraft without the airline realising the unfortunate placing of one of the middle exit doors. When opened, the fun marketing slogan quickly turned into a hilarious mistake that read, “I heart Cock’s Club”.

As usual, the internet caught the problem in no time and the design flaw was quickly seen around the world. One Twitter user was over the moon with the public muck up saying: “You had one job, Thomas Cook. And you did it gloriously.”
Another saying: “Thomas Cook’s rebranding not quite going to plan then!”
One Facebook page by the name of A Fly Guy’s Cabin Crew Lounge turned the entertaining gaffe into a meme with the caption: “Move over Cathay Paciic”.
Although possibly very red-faced, Thomas Cook seemed to look at the incident through a more optimistic lens, telling The Sun: “It goes with out saying it’s an accident, but it is one way to highlight where the emergency exit is.”
Much like this photo, many people related the incident back to the hilarious spelling blunder from Cathay Pacific that caught the attention of the public only a few weeks ago. The Hong Kong airline unintentionally omitted the letter “f” from its own name that was plastered across the side of a plane.
The company addressed the massive mistake on Twitter jokingly saying: “Oops this special livery won’t last long! She’s going back to the shop!”

Thomas Cook’s now-unforgettable new slogan is actually a part of its new Millennial-friendly rebranding project. The airline is attempting to be more appealing to Millennials by creating “Cook’s Club”.
There’s no word yet on whether the “Cocks Club” has been any more successful.
