New luxury train in Indonesia features reclining seats and free-flowing snacks

If you’re planning to take a train ride through Indonesia, and want to do it in sheer comfort, state-owned railway company PT Kereta Api Indonesia has just launched a new train, dubbed Luxury 2, which is equipped with reclining seats and free-flowing snacks — what more could you want?

For now, the luxury train serves two popular routes: Jakarta to Surakarta and Jakarta to Malang.

Features onboard the train include spacious seats that boast a reclining capacity of 140 degrees, power sockets and a USB port, allowing guests to charge their electronic devices without leaving their seat.

And there’s more — the fare also includes a meal, free-flowing snacks, desserts, beverages and entertainment, so you won’t have to worry about getting hungry or bored during the eight-hour journey.

For those looking to travel before June 26, the railway company is also offering a special price of $75 for single trip tickets.
