Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson had brief romance

Pamela Anderson enjoyed an “intimate” romance with Liam Neeson.

The pair were linked romantically earlier this year after starring together in the movie The Naked Gun and the Baywatch icon has confirmed they did date briefly once filming was finished.

“If you must know, Liam and I were romantically involved for a short while but only after we finished filming,” Anderson told People magazine.

The 58-year-old star detailed how she and Neeson, 73, enjoyed an “intimate week” together at the Taken actor’s home in New York.

“I had my own room. Our assistants both came; even family stopped by,” she said.

After a “romantic lost week” together, Anderson revealed they ended up going their “separate ways to work on other films”.

The couple ended up reconnecting on the promotional tour for The Naked Gun this northern summer and she was amused to hear outsiders dismissing the relationship as a publicity stunt.

“We were having fun, (our connection was) a little bit like a Nancy Meyers film,” she said.

“I always was laughing when people thought, ‘Oh that’s a publicity stunt.’ I’m like, ‘A publicity stunt? This is real. We have real feelings.’

“I adore Liam, but we are better friends, in full honesty.”

Anderson had previously recalled how she was nervous about meeting Neeson before shooting The Naked Gun.

“You’re always nervous the first day on the set,” she said during a SiriusXM Town Hall event in New York City.

“I brought sourdough bread to Liam and cookies and muffins and kept me busy. Kept me outta trouble … It’s a very special [muffin] recipe. It’s very good for you. Let’s just say that.”

Neeson explained he was charmed by Anderson from the moment they met.

“I remember thinking: ‘Wow, she is gorgeous’, but she had this wonderful sense of silliness and just humanity about her,” he said.

“I don’t want to blow her head up, but it was like I just felt an ease with her, you know, and we discovered a silliness with each other, which was terrific, you know?”
