A fresh appeal for William Tyrrell’s whereabouts was made on Tuesday as his family marked another birthday without the little boy by their side.
William, who turned seven on Tuesday, was just three years old when he went missing from his foster grandmother’s yard in Kendall, New South Wales. His disappearance sparked a state-wide investigation, but police have found little evidence as to what happened to the young boy.
A message posted to Facebook on Tuesday pleaded with the public to keep William in their thoughts and to come forward with any information that could help solve the mystery of his disappearance.
“Today is William’s 7th birthday,” the post read. “If he were home, he would be opening his presents and running through the house laughing and playing with his new toys.
“If William were home, we’d be taking him to school with chocolate crackles to share with his friends. If William were home, after school there would be lots of play and then we’d have his special birthday dinner with all his favourite foods.

“There would be the birthday cake William would have chosen, and as he’s blowing out his candles he’d make his birthday wish while we all sing ‘happy birthday dear William’.”
The emotional message marked 1384 days since he was last seen wearing his favourite Spiderman costume as he played at his foster grandmother’s house on the morning of September 12, 2014.
Police have offered a $1 million reward for information that leads them to William, but they are yet to find any concrete evidence.
Earlier this month, police commenced a forensic search for the young boy in bushland near where he went missing.
As the years have gone by the hopes of finding him alive have begun to dwindle and this time the Strike Force Rosann detectives were searching for the possibility of human intervention.

“It’s been 1384 days since we last saw William and for every single on of those days our thoughts have been of William – hoping he is being loved, hoping he is being cared for; and hoping that soon William will be found,” the Facebook post read.
“We miss him every minute of every day…especially today.
