Flying in comfort is always worth the price, though some airlines offer better benefits than others. Virgin realised this and today has announced the overhaul of their Boeing 777 and Airbus aircrafts – taking air travel to another level.
Even those in standard economy will benefit from Virgin Australia’s plan for additional leg room, but it’s their three other classes (economy plus, business lite and business first) that will get a truly amazing makeover.
Qantas has currently got our highest standard of air travel but Virgin wants to rival them…good news for those of us who want a viable alternative when we fly.
The futuristic upgrades will be rolled out by November 2015 and business passengers can expect 3 extra inches of length to their seating, plus a bed that is 80 x 28 inches.
On top of direct aisle access for every passenger in business, there will be a new meal menu prepared by chef Luke Mangan and a bar with face-to-face service…now that is style!
“The intention isn’t economy plus but ‘business lite’, so while we pitch our new business class at halfway between business and first, premium economy will be halfway between economy and business but certainly closer to business class”, explained CEO John Borghetti.
Another bonus is the ticket prices will remain the same and competitive with Qantas!
