‘She’s 70?’ Vera Wang sends internet into a frenzy with age-defying snaps

If you thought entering your 70s meant you had to tone down things in the style stakes, think again. Fashion designer Vera Wang, who will celebrate her 71st birthday this June, sent fans into a frenzy earlier this month after she shared a series of images on Instagram wearing tiny white shorts and an orange crop top.

Fans were quick to compliment the American fashioner designer for her stunning figure and youthful look, with many questioning her real age. One surprised fan took to Twitter, writing: “THIS B***H VERA WANG IS 70?!?!”

The now-viral tweet received a flurry of comments from other Twitter users, with one writing: “VERA WANG IS 70?! I THOUGHT SHE WAS IN HER 50s.” Another commented: “She’s literally older than all of my grandparents… I’m so in awe.”

While a third said: “Her body is fantastic! Her face does give away her age a little bit, as if that even matters though?! She’s freaking gorgeous! I can only hope to look that good in 50 years.”

Even Vera Wang’s official Twitter got in on the fun, sharing the images and confirming the designer’s age, writing: “Fact check: Truth.”

Meanwhile, over on Instagram, when a fan asked how she maintains her enviable figure, the 70-year-old designer replied with: “Work, sleep, a vodka cocktail, not much sun.”

Wang isn’t shy with fans on social media, regularly sharing glimpses of her slender frame. She recently uploaded an image sporting mini black shorts matched with an oversized orange shirt and fans couldn’t can’t enough of this look. One fan wrote: “I can’t believe she is 70.” Another added: “She’s 70 and she’s got the game.” While a third wrote: “Can I please have the name of skin care products you might use because you don’t look a day over 25!”

Wang isn’t the only 70-something making waves in the media. Singing legend Cher, 73, revealed her secret to her ageless looks telling UK talk show Lorraine in 2018: “I don’t drink, I don’t smoke and I don’t do drugs. I think that has something to do with it I really do. I’m taking care of myself. I’m a good eater. I’m responsible.”
