Some lucky tourists last weekend got to witness something truly spectacular: rain falling over Uluru.

Australia’s beautiful red landmark was almost unrecognisable when engulfed in cloud. Even more jaw-dropping: the waterfalls cascading down.

According to ABC News, approximately 10.2 millimetres of rain fell from 6-7am on Saturday morning; a rare sight only around 1 per cent of tourists get to see.

Amazing photos from the day are still rolling in over social media. We can’t look away!

Have you had the chance to see Uluru up close? Are you just as jealous of these tourists as we are?
