Charlie Watts, the internationally revered and legendary drummer died earlier this week and on Friday night the remaining members of The Rolling Stones released a video tribute to him. The video which is two minutes in length showed many moments of joy spent together as a band over many decades and included words spoken by Charlie Watts on how he came to join The Rolling Stones. The video was originally posted on the band’s Twitter account.
Watts joined the Stones in 1963 and was one of only three members to appear on each and every one of their albums, along with Mick Jagger and Keith Richards. His last public performance with the band took place in August 2019 at Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium in the United States of America.
