Princess Diana’s former lover James Hewitt suffers heart attack

You might remember last month when Princess Diana’s former lover James Hewitt put those horrible rumours about Prince Harry to rest in a TV interview?

Well, it turns out just weeks later he was left fighting for his life.

Hewitt’s family have revealed he is recovering in hospital after his health took a turn for the worse two weeks ago.

As the Mirror reports, at one point Hewitt had a heart ache and was left fighting for life in an intensive care unit.

According to their reports, Hewitt, who had an affair with Princess Diana, was given a slim chance of survival by doctors.

A relative of Hewitt’s told the Mirror his family “were concerned”.

“He was all set for a procedure when he had a heart attack,” the relative said.

“He had a pre-existing illness, then got seriously ill. Suddenly it got very critical and he was rushed to hospital.

“It was pretty serious but hopefully we’re all OK now. He is recovering.”

At the time of his interview on Australian TV, people had commented that Hewitt didn’t look well.
