He’s the Aussie icon who won over hearts around the world, but Paul Hogan says he’s on the market again after going through his own heartbreak and marriage breakdown.
Appearing on Seven’s Sunday Night program, Hogan told guest interviewer Kerri-Anne Kennerley he was comfortable with his status as a three-time divorcee.
“Are you looking for love again?” Kennerley asked.
“No, but you know, I’m not rejecting it either,” he responded.
When it comes to a possible future bride though, he said he’s under no illusion he could nab a younger lady.
“At that actor thing, there were some stunning looking women. I could have a look at them, but I thought… I’m just a dirty old man now!” he said.
Hogan had a number of high-profile relationships throughout his career.
He married and divorced his first wife, Noelene twice, before leaving her for his Crocodile Dundee co-star, Linda Kozlowski, who he split from in 2014.
“Okay, I’m the villain, I did it. I left one wife for another and now I’ve left her,” Hogan said.
“I didn’t want to hurt anybody, I didn’t want to cause them any grief. I want them to feel like, ‘oh thank God he’s out of my life!’”
He said his marriage to Linda broke down over several years as the pair drifted apart.
“It was simply a case of opposites attract and we attracted and we were terrific and loved each other,” he said.
“And then one day you wake up and you’re just opposites. We’d slowly drifted apart over the years.”
