As fans and those who were close to her grapple to come to terms with the loss of beloved comedian Cal Wilson, MasterChef star and celebrity chef Poh Ling Yeow has delivered a touching tribute to her late friend.

The 49-year-old took to Instagram, sharing an array of images accompanied by a series of “beautiful words” that spoke volumes regarding her close friendship with Wilson and her ongoing grief.

Poh shared a sketch of Wilson she had personally crafted alongside a series of photos that offered a glimpse into their friendship, including their adventures on the reality show I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!

“Dear Cal,” she began.

“There was going to be a forever’s worth of silly cat videos, you wrapping pies at Jamface every Fringe, then dinner at mine with all the comedians, me making you avgolemono and you eating it 3 meals in a row, you showering me with quirky trinkets and us sitting on the staircase cradling cups of tea at midnight reminiscing how we both got to eat turkey testicles in the jungle…..then another dozen just one more story’s before creeping bleary eyed to our beds.

“Our beloved, kind to the bone, rainbow Cal. So kind, that every time I shake with grief for you, I imagine your ghost arms holding me because that’s just what you would do. I feel so lucky to have had you in my life – it’s only been 3 years but now I have a forever’s worth of missing those dazzling dimples.

“Wherever you are, friend, I hope it’s really similar to Spotlight except the shop assistants are talking cats wearing gingham uniforms.”
