Be prepared for a barrel of laughs and side-splitting humour as comedic genius, Jerry Seinfeld, sets his sights on Australia for 2024.

The 69 year-old American stand-up comedian, actor, writer, and producer is best known for his role in the popular television sitcom “Seinfeld,” which he co-created and starred in as a fictionalized version of himself.

Seinfeld is famous for his ability to find the funny side of every day life and his brand of humour which  focuses on the trivial aspects of human behaviour and social interactions.

Having performed stand up comedy for more than 40 decades, he admitted in a 2014 Reddit Ask Me Anything session that he chose to work in comedy because “it seemed much easier than work, and more fun than work”.

However he admitted that, “it turned out to be much harder than work, and not easy at all,

“But you still don’t have to ever really grow up, and that’s the best thing of all.”

Some of Seinfeld’s most famous quips are, “”You know you’re getting old when you get that one candle on the cake. It’s like, ‘See if you can blow this out,” and “I was the best man at the wedding. If I’m the best man, why is she marrying him?”

Seinfeld will be coming to Australia in June 2024 and is expected to perform in Perth, Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane and Melbourne.

Having last performed down under in 2017, in a statement he expresses his excitement at performing here again.

“I have loved Australia since my first tour there in 1998, and I cannot wait to come back to visit some of the greatest comedy fans in the world,” Seinfeld said.

Telstra Plus presale tickets are due to go on sale on Tuesday, November 14 at noon and the general public will be able to purchase their tickets on Friday, November 17 from noon at www.tegdainty.com.
