Emergency Plus is a free Australian app designed to help Triple Zero callers provide their exact location during an emergency. It uses your phone’s GPS and what3words so emergency services can find you more quickly, especially if you’re travelling, walking, camping or somewhere unfamiliar.

This week’s Travel at 60 pick is a seven-day over-60s social getaway combining reef, rail and regional Queensland.

NSW households may now be able to access support for energy-saving home upgrades, including solar panels, batteries, heat pump hot water systems, induction cooktops, insulation and draught-proofing.
The Home Energy Saver program includes zero-interest loans, with targeted discounts of up to $4,000 expected later in 2026 for eligible lower-income households and concession card holders.
