What’s better than a $5 pizza delivered to your car so you can have a cheap, no-hassle meal without compromising your self-isolation? Free pizza, of course!

Domino’s, Australia’s biggest pizza delivery brand, has a long track record of giving Aussies a helping hand during tough times – the Brisbane-based company has supplied free food to bushfire, drought and flood zones and frontline workers for years and supports rural communities and youth initiatives around the country with funding and support. All of this work is done through its little-known Give for Good program.

But now there’s a great reason to hear more about Domino’s program of giving back, because the company’s giving away 10,000 pizza vouchers EVERY DAY from now until Friday and every person who receives a free pizza can nominate one of four great Australian charities to receive a $1 donation from Domino’s. That’s one large traditional or value pizza for you, and $1 for the charity you choose – win, win!

“There are a lot of individuals and communities doing it tough right now, and with so many charities working extra hard to assist an ever-increasing number of people in need, we wanted to show our support and make a meaningful contribution where we can,” Domino’s says. “But with so many Australian organisations doing incredible work in a number of areas – from disaster relief and recovery, to mental health and education – we couldn’t decide on just one group to support.

“That’s where you, our fellow pizza lovers, come in. Domino’s is giving you the chance to support one of four Aussie charities, and it won’t even cost you a cent. In fact, you’ll actually get a pizza.”

How to get a free Domino’s pizza

All you have to do to be in the running to score a free pizza and support your preferred charity is to check out Domino’s Facebook page, where the daily giveaway starts with a Facebook post at 11am and continues until all 10,000 pizza vouchers are nabbed. The post contains a link you need to click, then just fill in your name and email address and choose between one of the four charities to receive your ‘dough-nation’.

The charities benefitting from Domino’s big giveaway are Foodbank, which provides vital meals for vulnerable Australians, AIME, which provides mentoring for Indigenous students, the White Cloud Foundation, which provides Australians with mental health support, or the Australian Red Cross.

You can use your free pizza voucher for either delivery or pick-up between now and September 30.

How to stay safe while getting cheap pizza

Even when it’s not giving away pizza, Domino’s is a popular, low-cost meal for plenty of Aussies, particularly its Value Range of pizzas that cost $5 if you pick-up from a Domino’s store (you can see the whole Value Range here). There’s no voucher or special code required to get one of these cheap deals.

But if you’re self-isolating or just prefer to stay properly socially distanced, Domino’s has come up with a solution that allows you to get cheap pizza at no risk.

Starting in Melbourne, Domino’s is rolling out carside delivery for pick-up pizzas, which means you can order your $5 pizza on the Domino’s app (find out how to get the app for Android and Apple devices here) or mobile website, then choose the Car Park Delivery Option. When you drive up to the Domino’s store, you’ll get a message prompting you to let the pizza-making team know you’ve arrived and the make and model of your vehicle.

Your pizza won’t just be delivered to your car, either – Domino’s teams will place it where you instruct, while wearing face masks and gloves, so if you feel better about having your pizza put in your car boot – no problem! Carside delivery is already available in select Victorian stores but will be rolled out across Australia in the coming weeks.

Get zero-contact pizza delivery for peace of mind

Even if carside delivery hasn’t hit your neck of the woods yet, Domino’s has you covered isolation-wise. The company has been offering zero-contact pick-up and delivery since March 12, and you can be guaranteed no human hand has touched your pizza from the minute it leaves the piping hot oven at your local store (that’s why there’s a tamper-proof seal on your pizza box, to show it’s come from the store to you unopened). Stores themselves are being completely sanitised every single hour.
