Coles is giving German discount retailer Aldi a run for its money after announcing the launch of its air fryer oven for just $129 as part of the supermarket giant’s new fortnightly Friday Best Buys program — and it’s $20 cheaper than Aldi’s 23-litre version, which is set to hit shelves today for $149.

Both air fryer ovens are stainless steel, feature oven-style shelves, and 10 preset cooking functions like bake, broil, roast, toast, heat and reheat, but Coles’ All-In-One Oven with Air Fryer goes a step further, boasting 1800 watt and a 25-litre capacity.

Coles General Manager for Health and Home Jonathon Torr said: “We are thrilled with the response to our new Coles Best Buys range and we’re excited to be expanding the range to more stores across the country to make it even more accessible to our customers

“We think customers are in for a real treat this Friday. We’ve worked hard with our suppliers to provide exceptional value on essential kitchen appliances which we’re confident our customers will absolutely love.

“Our All-In-One Oven with Air Fryer emulates department store models and has a 25-litre capacity so you can cook an even larger pizza. It’s 1800W, stainless steel with 10 pre-set functions and has full digital functionality – and we’re offering it for just $129!”

A 250W stick mixer for $19.99, a 6.5-litre slow cooker for $29.99 and a three-tier food steamer and vacuum food sealer for $39.99 each are also up for grabs this Friday. As part of the new range, there are also handy fridge organisers for just $3.99 each and a dual-screen DVD player with headrest straps for the car.
