Channel 7’s, The Voice ‘Generations’ premiered on Monday night, where an 11-year-old youngster and his father shook the stage whilst performing a rendition of Fleetwood Mac’s Go Your Own Way.
The judges were blown away by young Eddie’s performance, as he played the electric guitar with musical ease and sang like a pro alongside father, Ty. The father-son-duo had all four chairs turning, with multiple judges fighting to secure the duo on their team for the global-first special event.

The Voice judge and famous singer-songwriter, Rita Ora, was particularly surprised by the performance, commending the duo on their impressive cover.
“You two are just on fire up there, that was so good. What an amazing performance, one of my favorite songs, I mean, Eddie, what in the guitar us going in here?!”, Ora said.
Eddie’s response seemingly shook up the judges further, when the youngster told them he’d only been playing guitar for two years. “In the first lockdown, me and dad went to the shops, I saw a guitar I really liked, that’s when I first started playing in the first lockdown”, Eddie said.

The lucky judge to secure the highly-demanded father-son duo was none other than country singer-songwriter Keith Urban, despite judges having a limit of just two spots to fill for the special TV event.
The Voice ‘Generations’ is a global-first special event, taking an exciting twist on the traditional The Voice series. The special TV event will see performances from all generations, young to old, as some of Australia’s most talented acts take the stage in the hopes of dabbling in The Voice glory.
With familiar faces, Rita Ora, Keith Urban, Jessica Mauboy and Guy Sebastian taking on the role of ‘judge’ for yet another The Voice event, the well-known popstars will vie to secure their favorite acts in a rival like never before.
The selected eight acts will then progress to the infamous ‘Battle rounds’ where they will compete to secure a top-four place in the highly-anticipated grand finale.
The question remains, who will be The Voice?
