The Hollywood icon appears not to have lost her star power and her recent makeup-free selfie proved just that, with her Instagram page alight with reactions from celebrity A-listers:
“I remember when you first showed up here …and it was like finding ruby slippers! You are solid gold,” fellow actress Selma Blair said.
“Beautiful!” Rosanna Arquette said.
“Love you!” Rita Wilson commented.
Her relaxed bare-faced image also won praise amongst fans who applauded her for her authenticity, some amazed by her ageless visage.
“Thank you for showing the world how beautiful a woman can be without makeup!” one fan wrote.
“I love when celebs do true makeup free selfies. Michelle is gorgeous – and lovely – at every age.”
“Thank you for being on Instagram Michelle, it’s so lovely to see you and it always brightens my day,” commented another.
“You really don’t age!”
“Been “following” you for 40 years.. in the early 1980s my sister and I would literally watch Grease 2-3 times in a day. We’ve been watching your movies ever since. You are amazing.”
Pfeiffer previously shared the secret to her youthful looks during an appearance on the British talk show Lorraine on Tuesday, the Stardust actress putting her youthful appearance down to three simple things: sleeping, exercising, and eating right.
“It’s what nobody really wants to hear: you have to eat right, you have to exercise, you have to sleep,” she explained.
“We’re always looking for that cheating magical bullet but it’s not right.
“When I’m not working, when I’m giving myself leeway, when I’m not eating good, I’m having too much wine, when I’m not on camera, I look like it. That’s really it. So that’s the big secret: there’s no secret!”
Pfeiffer is renowned for her versatile film and television performances, especially during the 80s and 90s.
Her star began to rise with breakthrough roles such as Scarface in 1983 and The Witches of Eastwick in 1987. She also played the iconic Catwoman in Batman Returns (1992) and appeared opposite Al Pacino in Frankie and Johnny (1991). The talented actress was also nominated for three Academy Awards for her roles in The Fabulous Baker Boys (1989), Love Field (1992) and The Age of Innocence (1993). She also enjoyed great success in movies such as the rom-com One Fine Day (1996), Dangerous Minds (1995) and White Oleander (2002).
