Pierce Brosnan pens sweet message to his ‘brown-eyed girl’ Keely on anniversary

Pierce Brosnan never shies away from declaring his love for wife Keely Shaye Smith, and the James Bond actor did just that on Wednesday as he penned a touching tribute to the former model in honour of their 19th wedding anniversary.

The 67-year-old Irish actor shared a throwback wedding photograph of himself and Keely on Instagram.

“Happy anniversary my love Keely… my brown-eyed girl, should I fall behind wait for me… as ever, my love,” Pierce wrote.

Many people commented on the post to wish the couple a happy anniversary, with one writing: “Happy anniversary! You two are amazing together.”

Another added: “HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!! You guys are the cutest couple ever.” While a third wrote: “Happy anniversary to you both! Wishing you many more!”

Meanwhile, Keely also paid tribute to her husband of 19 years on social media, writing: “You are the finest, loveliest, and the tenderest person I have ever known. Happy Anniversary @piercebrosnanofficial. Time flys on love’s wings.”

The couple tied the knot in 2001, seven years after first meeting on a beach in Mexico in 1994. Their romance blossomed just before Pierce made his debut as womanising British spy 007 in 1995’s Goldeneye.

Pierce and Keely, 56, share sons Paris, 19, and Dylan, 23, together, while Pierce shared three children with his first wife Cassandra Harris, who sadly died in 1991 as a result of ovarian cancer.

Pierce adopted Harris’ two children, Charlotte and Christopher, from a previous marriage, following the death of their father in 1986, and the couple also welcomed son Sean together. However, Charlotte tragically passed away in 2013 from ovarian cancer, at the age of just 42.

It comes just weeks after Pierce paid tribute to his late daughter, Charlotte, with a touching post on Instagram. The actor shared a picture of himself sitting on a porch at his home in Hawaii, which was taken by his wife Keely. The actor looked at peace in the shot, dressed in a white linen shirt, shorts and glasses.

“Here’s looking at you kid… in remembrance of Charlotte and with happy birthday wishes for my darling Marley May,” he captioned the post. Marley May is the daughter of Pierce’s son Sean.
