Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban are one of the most loved-up couples in show business, and the famous couple regularly share snippets from their life on social media. So it’s no surprise that the Big Little Lies star chose to show off the latest addition to their family on Instagram on Tuesday.
Taking to the social media platform earlier today, the 53-year-old actress revealed that she, Keith and their daughters, Faith and Sunday, had adopted a rescue cat. The family are currently living in Byron Bay, as Nicole will film new project Nine Perfect Strangers in the area.
“Meet the newest member of our fur-family, Louis,” Nicole wrote, alongside a photo of Louis nuzzling up to her. She also included the hashtag ‘rescuecat’, indicating the family had chosen to adopt the furry companion, rather than buy.

Nicole’s followers were quick to comment on the photograph, with many joking about how lucky the cat was to be adopted by the famous family.
“Imagine being a homeless cat and then you randomly get adopted by Nicole Kidman lol. What a life!” one user wrote. Another said: “You are a good woman and your heart is very beautiful.”
While another commented: “A rescue cat is always the best cat! I am so happy for all [of] you!!!”
The couple, who have been married for X years, already have two cats, named Ginger and Snow, along with a dog named Julius. While a herd of Black Angus cattle call the family’s NSW farm home.
