Mark “The Beast” Labbett, 56, has revealed he’s secured a new game show gig after being let go from the US version of the popular game show The Chase.

The new gig will see Labbett team up with popular Baywatch actress Brooke Burns, 44, for a new season of the trivia game show Master Minds.

Taking to social media on Friday, April 1, Labbett expressed his excitement for the upcoming show, revealing he was “thrilled” to be reunited with Burns after the duo previously appeared together on The Chase.

“The dream team is back but on a different show this time. So thrilled to be back with the superstar that is #brookburns,” Labbett wrote.

Burns was quick to match her teammate’s anticipation, replying, “My Beastie Brother!! So happy to have you back stateside! Dance party!”

The Chase (US) took to social media last month to confirm Labbett wouldn’t be returning for a second season as they revealed the new chasers for the upcoming season.

“New season. New chasers,” the post read.

In response to the post, Labbett revealed he was disappointed he wouldn’t be returning to the show.

“Gutted to not be invited back but really excited at the new lineup,” Labbett admitted.

Labbett returned to the Australian version of The Chase this year looking slimmer than ever following nearly a 30 kilogram weight loss.

Not one to shy from sharing his weight loss journey, Labbett joined The Morning Show on Thursday February 24, to discuss his transformation.

The 56-year-old revealed at his heaviest he weighed 185 kilograms and now is down to 135 kilograms, saying he was “doing okay.”

Taking to social media, Labbett also showed the extent of his weight loss, posting a shirtless selfie with the caption “Down to 52-inch chest from 60”. So was 5xl, now 2xl.”

‘The Beast’ also told The Morning Show host Kylie Gillies “when I was playing rugby, it was a 46 or a 48, so a few more inches to go but I’m on the way.”
