Lynda Carter is remembering her late husband Robert A. Altman. The Wonder Woman star took to Instagram on Wednesday to pay tribute to her husband of 37 years, who sadly passed away last week aged 73.
“One week ago, my beloved husband Robert A. Altman passed away,” the 69-year-old wrote, alongside a beautiful black-and-white photo of the couple lounging on a picnic blanket together.
“Robert is the love of my life and he always will be. Our 37 years of marriage were an extraordinary gift. We shared the passion I hope everyone is lucky enough to experience in their lifetime. We protected each other and were each other’s champions always.”
The actress went on to mention her and Robert’s children, saying: “We have always been grateful for the two beautiful lives we created together: our children, Jessica and James. They are the lights of my life, and were the greatest joy of Robert’s. I see so much of Robert in them, and I know he lives on through them.”
Lynda finished off the beautiful tribute by sharing a special, final message to her beloved husband, writing: “To Robert: You are the most honorable [sic] person that I have ever had the privilege to know. And I got to be your wife and the mother of your children. Thank you for giving me all the love in my life.
“Nothing could prepare our family for this moment, but we will do our best to follow our dreams and honor [sic] the legacy you’ve left behind. I will love you always and forever.”

Fans of Lynda’s have since shared their condolences, with one writing: “I’m so so very sorry for you loss, Lynda!” Another added, “My deepest condolences, so sorry for your loss.” While a third wrote, “What a beautiful tribute.”
Robert’s death comes almost two weeks after the pair celebrated their 37th wedding anniversary. They married on January 29, 1984. To mark the celebration Lynda shared a sweet picture of herself and Robert standing at an airport, alongside the caption: “Remembering all those moments at the airport when we were living thousands of miles apart, traveling across the country to be together so many years ago. After 37 years, I’m still thankful to wake up next to you each day. Happy Anniversary, my love.”
