Julie Bishop is living her best life. The former foreign minister has been enjoying the sun, surf and sand recently and sent the internet into a frenzy this week when she uploaded a sizzling snap of herself in a leopard-print swimsuit.

For the past week, the 64-year-old has been relaxing at Yogaworx in Western Australia, and she’s got plenty of pics to show for it. The first picture shows a fresh-faced Julie sporting a leopard-print swimsuit as she poses for a cosy snap with her friends. She uploaded another two pictures from the same day, even climbing onto the back of one of her friend’s for a fun photo.

And it didn’t take long before fans commented on Julie’s fit physique, with one writing: “Luv ya guns.” Others agreed, with another commenting: “Looking good — fit as ever.” While a third wrote: “You’re looking so well!

A few days later Julie uploaded another series of snaps to her official Instagram account, which saw her practicing yoga, and running up sand dunes with friends. “Unforgettable weekend @yogaworx retreat,” she captioned the post.

Another picture showed Julie posing in a fluro green singlet and black leggings on a boardwalk along a beach in Yallingup, a town in the south west region of Western Australia.

Fans of Julie’s were equally excited for the former pollie about her trip. “Looks like you’re having [an] amazing time with friends,” one commenter wrote. Another cheekily said: “Great place to forget about politics, clearly.”

Julie famously stepped away from politics in 2018, and it looks like she has no plans on returning anytime soon. The 64-year-old told The Daily Telegraph back in September last year that she doesn’t miss her old job at all.

“I had 20 years as a member of parliament and five as foreign minister and that was a huge honour to represent Australia on the world stage,” she said at the time. “After 20 years it is time to move on and I have. I am loving my life in the private sector as Chancellor of the Australian National University.”

Julie is also on the advisory board of Afiniti, a software company focused on developing artificial intelligence for use in customer call centres and is on the board at the international consultancy Palladium.
